Tomorrow, Tuesday the 29th, at 10am, Unite Here union members are going to be picketing the Holiday Inn in Concord. A while back, the company decided to call its employees “independent contractors” and imposed a contract which increased the monthly health insurance costs for an employee and spouse from $20 to $335 and for an employee and family from $40 to $743. Soon after, the owners put up the building for sale.
A few months ago, activists stormed the hotel courtyard and completely shut down the main entrance of the hotel for hours. Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow. Class war?
