concord doesnt have a place like mystic dream, formerly known as dolphin dream.
once upon a time i had hopes that woo like this wouldnt spread beyond places like santa cruz and berkeley. i guess it was silly to think that the (petite) bourgeois liberals of walnut creek, lamorinda etc. wouldnt catch on to the latest religious scam in an attempt to fill their unsatisfying lives.
new age; it's both new and set in ancient traditions. hurray.

there might be some crazy people in concord. there might be a ton of religious people in concord, and one of these days i will ridicule their belifes, but at least they aint buying into stuff like this. crystals? crystals??
one of the owners of mystic dream is named Storm Faerywolf. Storm Faerywolf! that's straight out of a fantasy novel i read when i was in 7th grade! what is he, a 5th level dwarven archer or something?
here's the intro for a spell:
Attracting Faeries to Your Garden
It is sometimes said that the faery spirits still dwell beneath the hills and mounds; in wild places untouched by human hand. It is thought that while they once lived in concert with humankind, they have long ago receded into the mists, passing beyond the veil that separates our world of what is seen, and into the land of dreams and myths. But they are here, with us even now; living just beyond the periphery of our normal sight, waiting for us to learn how to live in harmony with the land.
so i guess we cant see the faeries. but im sure the spell really works.

with Storm Faerywolf
or you can send $20 to straightouttaconcord and i'll teach you how to summon david the gnome which according to his wikipedia page sounds just about as real as the stuff they sell at mystic dream.
David is a doctor, and he uses his knowledge of many fields, such as hypnosis and acupuncture, to heal his patients, usually animals, such as his faithful friend Swift the fox, or other gnomes. David also befriends a bird that, when he whistles, immediately arrives to quickly transport him to wherever necessary. For longer trips, he sometimes travels in a basket attached to the neck of the bird.
wow! david the gnome sounds great, i wonder how much mystic dream will charge me to see him.
they will even set you up with a "psychic."
people like Stefn Thorsman, (cash or check only!) who is
a Rune Reader and Chieftain/Godhi of The Hammer Of Thor Kindred located in Walnut Creek, CA. His ancestry stems from the three great European tribes of the German, Scottish, and Irish.
i know i should be respectful of a real life chieftain but i must point out that "German, Scottish, and Irish" were never tribes. german scottish and irish are nationalities and ethnicities. not tribes.
there were many tribes who live in those nations and the ancestors of the german, scottish and irish people certainly were members of those tribes. here is a list of irish tribes. pick one. but dont say you come from the irish tribe, cause there aint no thing. there is an irish nation and an irish ethnicity.
you would think that these psychics would just take the james randi challenge and win the one million dollars. maybe then they could spend more time fighting trolls and goblins and saving middle earth and less time scamming suckers using cold reading.
this stuff aint real
the one good thing i have to say about all this is unlike other new agers, these people arnt attempting to exploit american indian religions and cultures. good for them on at least that point. it sucks when you see some lame new age white dude talking about how he heals people using ancient hopi magic.
here are a couple videos from derren brown who is amazing at cold reading, but is honest that it is just cold reading and not magical psychic abilities.
youtube will only allow me to post links to them, but they are worth watching if you believe in any sort of psychic powers really exist.
